Children learn best when they are having fun. Take advantage of playtime to make learning fun and enriching for your preschooler.
Let Your Child Teach You
Children love to be in control, particularly if they have control over you! Let your child be the teacher from time to time. Yes, you may have to take over once in a while if your kid makes a mistake or takes you in the wrong direction. However, your child's gleeful expression as your kid corrects your "mistakes" will make it worthwhile. Take your pick. This is terrific for math, vocabulary and spelling.
Plan a Vacation
We, as a society, are often too focused on getting to our destinations as quickly as possible. On your next vacation, slow down a little. You might want to:
· Explore small-town museums;
· Look at historic markers; and
· Take a look at regional "tourist traps" just for fun, no matter how silly they are.
Be Positive and Responsive
Above all when working with your children, be positive. Focus on the progress your child is making and, while not dismissing mistakes out of hand, make sure that your child understands that making mistakes is a natural part of learning. Making mistakes doesn't mean your child is "stupid" or "dumb."
Play cards
Teach your child some of your childhood favorites. Kids strengthen fine motor skills by shuffling, cutting, and holding the cards, and boost cognitive abilities too. Each time your child slaps down a card, he's learning about number values and concepts like "greater than" and "less than." Go Fish and Old Maid reinforce your child's ability to categorize.
Education system has changed a lot in recent decades. Almost all the nurseries and schools are trying to make their environment safe, secure and fun. Teaching staffs are trained in a way so that they can take care of all the needs of the children. It is not just about teaching. It is also about cultivating a learning environment where every aspect of child’s personality is being developed in a proper way. Schooling must be a happy experience for the children.
